Biography

Chidinma is an associate in the firms’ power and infrastructure practice. Chidinma advises clients in the structuring, development and financing of major infrastructure and energy projects across Nigeria and Africa. Her experience cuts across the full lifecycle of energy and infrastructure projects, from advising on renewable energy deals and structuring public-private partnerships, to negotiating power purchase and concession agreements. She regularly supports clients on project finance and corporate finance transactions and guides them through complex regulatory landscapes, particularly in the power and infrastructure sectors.

Relevant Experience

  • Project Structuring and Commercial Advisory: Advised on the structuring and execution of high-value infrastructure and energy transactions across Nigeria and Africa, including project finance, joint ventures, and public-private partnerships valued at over $1billion. Provided end-to-end legal support on complex infrastructure projects, including drafting and negotiating key project documents such as power purchase agreements, concession agreements, EPC contracts, facility and loan agreements, share purchase agreements and security documentations
  • Regulatory Compliance & Approvals: Advised sponsors, developers, and public sector clients on navigating complex regulatory frameworks across the power and infrastructure sectors. Secured key permits, approvals and licenses from federal and state authorities, and ensured ongoing compliance with licensing, environmental, and sector-specific requirements
  • ESG & Sustainable Infrastructure: Advised on the integration of ESG principles into project development and financing, particularly in the energy access sector. Supported clients in aligning infrastructure projects with global sustainability standards, climate finance frameworks, and Nigeria’s energy transition objectives
