Her expertise also extends to helping clients navigate tax reviews, audits, and investigations by federal and state tax authorities. • Providing tax and business advice on corporate restructuring, project financing, licensing arrangements, disposals, and other business decisions of clients
• Provided comprehensive tax health check services encompassing CIT, WHT, VAT, PAYE, Pension and other regulatory obligations to a renewable energy company in respect of its business operations and outlining a corrective roadmap on identified liabilities
• Providing legal and tax support to clients in various sectors in relation to periodic desk review and tax audit/investigation exercises by the tax authorities mitigating overstated tax liabilities and ensuring early closure of such exercises and settlement of agreed tax liabilities (where applicable)
• Provided financial statement analysis for a leading Microfinance bank in relation to an acquisition. This involved benchmarking the financial metrics of the target against regulatory requirements
• Routinely assisting companies with the filing of requisite tax and regulatory returns such as company income tax, value added tax, personal income tax, capital gains tax, transfer pricing, national housing fund contributions; among others
• Advised non-resident companies on tax-efficient operational structures for their business activities in Nigeria
• Routinely advises companies on various heads of tax, and employment related statutory deductions
