Biography

Oluseye, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria and Partner at the Firm, is a foremost dispute resolution and commercial lawyer with over three decades of experience. He is widely recognized for his authority in arbitration and commercial litigation , alongside deep expertise in capital markets, project finance, privatization, and corporate restructuring. Oluseye has acted as counsel in numerous high-value arbitrations under the LCIA, ICC, and the LMAA Rules, spanning oil and gas, banking, construction, maritime, energy, and telecommunications. His arbitration track record includes multi-million-dollar disputes involving power purchase agreements, engineering procurement contracts, shareholder disputes and the enforcement of arbitral awards. Respected for his intellectual precision and strategic depth, Oluseye is known for blending arbitration expertise with a keen understanding of the commercial realities driving complex disputes. Oluseye has advised on some of Nigeria’s most significant transactions. He played a leading role in Nigeria’s largest capital market transaction — a ₦4.7 trillion bond issuance programme — and has spearheaded multi-billion-dollar financings including US$7.2 billion and US$4.5 billion LNG projects, a US$1.8 billion LNG expansion, and a US$600 million corporate restructuring. His experience also covers advisory on state bond programmes, Nigeria’s first supranational bond issuance, landmark banking consolidations, and the privatization of key national assets in aviation, manufacturing, and infrastructure.
