Oluwafikayomi is a Managing Associate and Team Lead in Olaniwun Ajayi LP’s Dispute Resolution Practice. She is a dynamic advocate with deep expertise in arbitration and litigation of complex, high-value commercial disputes. Her arbitration expertise cuts across key sectors including oil and gas, shipping, banking, manufacturing, energy and corporate restructuring, where she has acted as counsel in domestic and international arbitral proceedings, including ad-hoc and institutional framework.
She has represented clients in some of Nigeria’s most significant arbitrations, including acting for a claimant in an ad hoc arbitration against a national oil corporation for recovery of over US$1.5 billion in unrecovered petroleum operating costs, representing an IOC in PCA arbitration over crude oil supply contracts with a sovereign state, and acting for a sovereign wealth fund in LCIA proceedings involving loan and investment disputes. Her experience also includes successfully representing a government agency in arbitration concerning marine installations across Nigerian seaports, securing interim orders in support of arbitration, advising on investment arbitration proceedings before ICSID, ICC, and representing clients in drilling services contract disputes.
