Biography
Abdulmajeed is an Associate in the Firm’s Dispute Resolution Practice, where he represents a broad spectrum of clients — including financial institutions, multinational corporations, tech companies, and non-profits — in complex commercial and regulatory disputes before superior and inferior courts of record in Nigeria.
His growing practice spans commercial litigation, regulatory advisory, and arbitration. He has advised and represented clients in high-stakes matters involving banking, oil and gas, technology, criminal law, consumer protection, and probate, private wealth and employment law. In addition to his core litigation work, Abdulmajeed supports the Firm’s Tax Practice on select matters and maintains a keen interest in tax advisory, particularly as it intersects with dispute resolution and regulatory compliance.
Abdulmajeed holds a First Class Honours from the Nigerian Law School.

- Commercial Litigation & Dispute Resolution: Actively represents clients across a broad spectrum of complex disputes before superior and inferior courts of record. Represented a leading bank in a debt recovery action involving professional fees exceeding ₦641 million
- Regulatory & Competition Law: Represented a prominent beverage company in investigative proceedings before the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC) and the appellate proceedings arising from the decision of the FCCPC on alleged consumer rights infractions
- Cross-Border Investment Advisory & International Arbitration: Contributed to strategic advisory for an English investor devising an exit plan from a Nigerian entity. Part of the team that advised a leading commercial bank on the prospects of success in an ongoing arbitration
- Technology & Contractual Disputes: Represents a tech company in a contract dispute concerning the award of bids following a jointly-prepared proposal, and regularly advises on contractual liability and cyber-related incidents for financial and tech sector clients
- Public Interest & Pro Bono Work: Actively engaged in pro bono criminal defence, and represents individuals and corporations before regulatory agencies including the EFCC, FCCPC, and the Nigerian Police. Also advises on compliance with advertising and consumer protection laws before the respective Tribunals
- Tax Advisory: Advised on a range of corporate tax matters, including securing tax exemption status for a sub-subsidiary of a multilateral financial institution under a Diplomatic Order; supporting foreign shareholders on Capital Gains Tax liabilities; and contributing to legal training sessions for the in-house counsel of renowned companies on the tax and regulatory framework applicable to their operations
