Biography

Olufolajimi is an associate in the firm’s Technology, Innovation, and Fintech practice, where he routinely advises technology companies on a broad range of matters, including capital raises, cross-border market expansion, corporate structuring, data protection, product advisory, and regulatory compliance. He adopts a solution-oriented and commercially pragmatic approach to representing clients on both domestic and cross-border transactions. In addition to his core practice, Olufolajimi has worked closely with the firm’s Finance and Capital Markets, as well as Mergers and Acquisitions practices, contributing to several market-defining and complex transactions across diverse sectors.  

Relevant Experience

  • Advised on the $110 million Series C investment led by Development Partners International’s African Development Partners III (ADP III) fund in Moniepoint Inc.
  • Advised the Nigerian Exchange Group (NGX) on the development, structuring, and deployment of Nigeria’s first SEC-approved electronic securities offering platform
  • Advised one of Nigeria’s leading telecommunications companies on data protection compliance in relation to its airtime and data advance services
  • Advised a global financial technology firm and the issuer of stablecoins on the regulations applicable to financial institutions in relation to money transmission, KYC, AML and transactions involving foreign currencies and the regulatory regime governing marketing in Nigeria and localisation requirements
  • Routinely provides legal advisory services to financial technology and technology companies on various legal issues including product launch, regulatory advisory and licence procurement, corporate governance, corporate restructuring, strategic partnerships
