Akemi is a Senior Associate in the Finance team in our London office.   Akemi has extensive experience in financing and project development in emerging markets within Central and Southeast Asia, as well as Africa. Akemi has worked alongside multilateral development banks, financial institutions and commercial lenders, as well as project sponsors and developers.   Before joining Olaniwun Ajayi (UK) LLP in December 2024, Akemi worked for Ashurst in Tokyo. Akemi is qualified in England and Wales, an Avocat à la Cour in France and an Attorney at Law in Japan. Akemi is also fluent in English, Japanese and French and conversational in Mandarin and Spanish. Akemi is a CFA® Charterholder.
